Planning Department

The Planning Department is responsible for the administration of land use programs and community and economic development.

Community Development

The functions of Community Development pursues grant and loan opportunities for various City projects, and performs duties associated with the improvement of infrastructure and community services.  Future work will include the development of a City Parks Master Plan.

Planning & Land Use

The objective of the Department is the day-to-day administration of the City's land use regulations, which focus on public information services, building permit review for conformance with zoning regulations, environmental policy review for all public and private sector projects, and land use permit processing. Land use permit processing includes Conditional Use Permits, Variances, Environmental Development Permits, Home Occupation Permits, rezones, subdivisions, and short plats.
